  1. Evit consumul de ciocolata, citrice si cafea. (mai greu cu ciocolata ce-i drept:)
  3. Incerc sa reduc consumul de muraturi, mancarurile procesate sau sosurile bogate in sare si in aditivi.

EN: I already told you about my heartburns during the pregnancy. Moms and future moms know how uncomfortable this pain can be.  But heartburn and acidity during pregnancy are caused by hormonal and physical changes in our body. I fought with them and I still fight, but there are the things that help me  to minimize them:

  1. I avoid chocolate, citrus fruits and coffee. (harder on the chocolate part:)
  2.  I drink 2 liters of water a day and I avoid carbonated or fizzy drinks because these drinks are already very acidic.
  3.  I reduce pickles,  processed foods and sauces which contain high levels of salt preservatives and additives.
  4. A glass of cold milk or a cup of yogurt is an old remedy for heartburn and acidity. A cup of chamomile or ginger tea  may also help. Some also believe that bananas help.
  5. Alternative medicine practitioners recommend drinking peppermint tea to alleviate the symptoms of reflux and heartburn. However, peppermint tea, like other herbal teas, should be drunk in moderation during pregnancy.
  6. I eat small, frequent meals and chew my food well. A long gap between meals can lead to acidity.
  7.  I try to finish my dinner about three hours before I go to bed. Sometimes lying down can lead to heartburn because gravity helps the acids out of your stomach.
  8.  I drink a glass of water during meals to avoid the risk of triggering acid reflux.
  9.  I wear  loose clothing around my tummy, because clothes can become a risk factor for worsening heartburn. Now you understand why loose jumpers are my favorites?
  10. When the pain is uncomfortable, I drink a cup of water with sodium bicarbonate. The effect is immediately.
